Sirloin tip steak is cut from the upper portion of the round, directly below the top sirloin. It is a healthy boneless steak option, but can be a bit tough when cut from our organic beef. What it lacks in tenderness though, it makes up for in flavor and is fantastic as a protein in a salad, cut into small strips for a steak sandwich, or marinated and cut into thin strips!
We recommend marinating this cut before cooking it hot and fast on the grill or in a pan. Don’t cook it past medium rare and slice thinly against the grain to make sirloin tip steak tender! Taking the time to marinate tough steaks and make them tender always reminds us to take our time finding the tender hearts of even the toughest people we come across.
Each package of Painterland Sisters sirloin tip steak weighs a pound which is enough meat for two people.
