Celebrate the holidays with our Painterland Cup Ornaments! These are a fun, festive, and sustainable craft for kids and adults of all ages.
Whatcha Need (for both ornaments):
🥣 Your favorite Painterland yogurt flavor(s)
🟡 Glue dots
🧵 Thread (thin)
🌿 Twine (optional)
🎣 Fishing wire
🔔 Mini jingle bells
🎀 Ribbon or big bows
🎁 Stick-on bows
🖍️ Markers and/or colored pencils
✨ Chenille stems – your favorite colors! We use gold :)
🪇Optional: other shaker-filler such as rice, beads, uncooked beans, etc.
🔔 Jingle Bell Cup Ornament
🥄 Step 1: The most important step… eat your yummy yogurt!
🚿 Step 2: Peel off the label and give the cup a quick rinse! Make sure to dry it well.
🎨 Step 3: Color your label with your favorite colors!
🔄 Step 4: Stick the label back on (design facing out) and flip the cup upside down.
📌 Step 5: Use a pen, pin, or tiny screwdriver to poke a small hole in the bottom of the cup. (Grown-Up Help Recommended Here!)
🔔 Step 6: Thread the jingle bell, leaving a few inches of extra string so it can dangle.
🧵 Step 7: Bring the thread up through the hole and tie a knot on top.
⭐ Tip: If the string slips, add a glue dot on top to hold it in place.
🌀 Step 8: Wrap a chenille stem around the cup and twist two ends together to secure around the cup.
🎀 Step 9: Add a stick-on bow to the top.
🎣 Step 10: Make a tree hook with fishing wire by creating a loop through the bow.
🌲 Step 11: Hang it on your tree and jingle all the way!
🎶 Shaker Cup Ornament
🥄 Step 1: Eat your yummy yogurt!
🚿 Step 2: Peel off the label and rinse the cup. Make sure to dry it well.
🎨 Step 3: Color your label with your favorite colors!
🟡 Step 4: Stick the label back on using glue dots ( make sure your design is facing out!).
🔔 Step 5: Fill the cup with bells, beads, rice, or other shaker goodies.
🧻 Step 6: Cover the top with plastic wrap, cut to fit the top of the cup, and pinch it tight. Make it almost like a new lid!
🌀 Step 7: Wrap a chenille stem around the top and twist both ends to secure around the cup.
🎀 Step 8: Tie on a big bow or add one to the top… whichever you prefer!
🎣 Step 9: Use fishing wire or twine to make a tree hook that is attached to the bow
🌲 Step 10: Hang it on your tree and give it a shake!
