Let's Get Cookin'

  • Dough

    • 2 cups of Painterland Sisters Vanilla Yogurt (this about four containers minus the 3 tbsp reserved for the glaze)

    • 3 1/2 c Flour

    • 4 tsp baking powder

    • 1 tsp salt

    • 1/4 c sugar

    Filling

    • 4 tbsp melted butter

    • 2 tbsp cinnamon

    • 1/4 c sugar

    Glaze

    • 3 tbsp Painterland Sisters Vanilla Yogurt

    • 1 c powdered sugar (or more, depending on taste)

    • 1 tsp vanilla

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare a greased 9x13 baking dish.

    2. In a large mixing bowl, add the yogurt (with 3 tbsp reserved), flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well, starting with a spoon then switching to your hands to knead the dough thoroughly.

    3. Roll the dough out into a large rectangle approximately 10 x 24 inches and about 1/2 inch thick. Brush the melted butter evenly over the square, then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar evenly over the butter. Starting on the long end, carefully roll the dough into a long log.

    4. Use a string to cut 12 rolls from the log, approximately 2 inches long. Place them into the greased 9x13 pan in four rows of three.

    5. Bake for 30-40 minutes until they’re lightly golden brown. Take out of the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

    6. While they cool, mix the 3 tbsp of reserved yogurt, powdered sugar, and vanilla. If you prefer more of a glaze, leave it as is. If you want more of a frosting, add additional powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency.
